DECISION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND ORDER OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC ON THE INTERRUPTION OF FLIGHTS FROM CRISIS PLACES IN ITALY AS A RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SITUATION CONNECTED WITH THE SPREADING OF COVID-19
Press release
Brno, March 3, 2020
Following the decision of the Government of the Czech Republic and the regulation of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic to limit air connections with Italian cities, the regular Brno-Milan Bergamo route, which is in operation every Wednesday and Sunday, will be interrupted at our airport from 5th March 2020. Unless the Government of the Czech Republic decides otherwise, the interruption of the regular connection will be valid for at least the following fourteen days. In addition to this scheduled flight, the regulation also covers other direct flights operated by air carriers from airports in the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto. Other flights will not be affected by the regulation and will not restrict the day-to-day operations of the airport. Increased hygiene measures continue to apply in all areas of the airport and, as the operator, we remain in active contact with the Regional Hygiene Station and the South Moravian Region. This is government regulation and carriers have also been officially informed about its effectiveness. Passengers who have already purchased reservations can contact the carrier or the agency that arranged the purchase for them.
