BRNO AIRPORT EXPERIENCED SUCCESSFUL AND BUSY SUMMER HOLIDAYS. DURING JULY AND AUGUST, THE AIRPORT HAD A CHECKED-IN RECORD OF 230,665 PASSENGERS

Last summer Brno airport was used by 225 thousand passengers, this year more than 230 thousand. This is a year-on-year comparison of the number of passengers handled during the summer holidays at Brno-Tuřany Airport. July was even a record-breaking month in the entire history of the airport with 117,255 passengers. Brno Airport has already crossed the number of 400,000 passengers in eight months and is nearing the next half of the million checked-in passengers. It is estimated that 2019 could bring at least a 5% increase in the number of passengers compared to 2018.

"The summer months are the busiest time of the year, and this year the number of checked-in passengers has increased slightly compared to last year. We owe this mainly to the good security situation in the world, the organizationally well-managed crisis with the "MAX" Boeings and the newly opened line to Berlin, from where Brno residents can travel to attractive holiday destinations such as Palma de Mallorca," said Zdeněk Šoustal, Member of the Board of Directors of BRNO AIRPORT a.s.
